We are moving our production

Rognald Brusletto founded the company in 1896, and even then, it was an innovative company that was not afraid to adopt new technology and focus on development for the benefit of the business.

In 2024, we have carried out a strategic relocation of production to new facilities in Ringebu as part of our long-term goals to balance tradition with modern innovation and ensure Norwegian-made Brusletto products also in the future. Although the move involves some practical changes, the focus will always remain on preserving the craftsmanship qualities that have defined Brusletto for over a century, with premium materials and skilled artisans still using the same production machines that were previously located in our facilities in Geilo.

The new production facilities are co-located with Giax and are situated in Ringebu in the idyllic surroundings of Gudbrandsdalen. Giax currently employs about 20 people and creates value through production for its own brands, such as the Bjørklund cheese slicer, as well as contract manufacturing for other companies, providing opportunities for synergies and competitive production.

The first knives produced at Giax have already been launched on the market, and we are very satisfied with their quality. We already see great opportunities for further development of both production and product development in collaboration with Giax. It is clear that their expertise in wood and steel, particularly through ownership and production at Bjørklund, is also highly beneficial for us at Brusletto and our product portfolio.

In the center of Ringebu, we have also opened a fantastic store under the name Bjørklund 1925, where we have a large and fine section dedicated to Brusletto. Here, we have almost the entire range on display, and it also serves as a factory outlet. In 2025, we will focus on further developing this store and using it as a physical sales location to share our history and offer some great deals.

We know that many of our loyal and devoted ambassadors also want to visit the factory and gain a better insight into production. This is something we also wish to make available in the future. Currently, drop-ins are not possible, but if there are larger groups or special requests, we encourage you to contact us, and we will do our best to see what can be arranged.

Brusletto moves forward with great energy and determination to create sought-after products and be a companion on all of life’s adventures, both in nature and at home in the kitchen, from our new facilities in Ringebu.
